How to apply
You need to fill in the application form and lodge it with the Department of the Chief Minister at least 14 days before you travel or prior to a potential inbound buyer arriving in the Territory. Applications lodged after travel has occurred will not be considered.
Your application will be processed more quickly if you provide all the information.
You must give clear details of the project, including the total budget, timeframe and the trade results you expect to achieve. Visits to international markets will require a detailed itinerary of the activities that will be undertaken.
The project may be only one step in your company’s marketing or business growth plan. However, it is important that your application highlights how the proposed marketing effort and expenditure will impact on trade results.
You should provide any information you can to highlight the likelihood of success of the project. For example, you should tell us about:
- any links you already have with the proposed client or business partner
- inputs and development work undertaken to date
- research in the relevant overseas market, or with host government authorities
- involvement of other parties or stakeholders
- your prior export and trade credentials.
