Attract trade and investment

The Department promotes the Territory’s competitive advantages and works to build closer economic ties with our Asian neighbours.

We undertake investment attraction activities to promote Territory trade and business opportunities across Australia and throughout the wider Asian region. The activities include presentations and publications such as Territory Quarterly and Business Territory. This also seeks to market the Territory as an exciting place to live, work and invest; and to attract new skilled residents to help realise these opportunities.

We support business to pursue international opportunities through our Trade Support Scheme, which offsets the costs of marketing Territory products and services overseas.
