Climate change is here and we need to deal with it. The Northern Territory must position itself to deal with national and international responses to climate change.
Climate Change Policy
The Territory Government's $34 million Northern Territory Climate Change Policy, is a comprehensive action plan to combat climate change.
Developed over a two year period, with significant input from Territorians, particularly business and industry, as well as environment and community groups, the policy will ensure the Territory economy is strategically placed as a green resource base into the future.
The Northern Territory Government supported Alice Springs becoming Alice Solar City, which aims to make Alice Springs a model for the rest of Australia and the world to follow.
Energy Smart Rebate NT
The Energy Smart Rebate NT provides eligible households with rebates on selected energy saving items, such as timers for pool pumps. The rebate will help Territory households do their part to save power, save money on their electricity bill and reduce their carbon footprint.
