Multicultural affairs sponsorship program
The aim of the Multicultural Affairs Sponsorship Program is to assist migrant and multicultural communities by providing funds towards projects that provide benefits to the Northern Territory in terms of social inclusion, social cohesion and / or cultural and linguistic diversity.
Two rounds are advertised each year. Applications for Round 1 open 1 March and close 31 March, for activities starting from July. Applications for the second round open 1 September and close 30 September for activities starting from January.
For unplanned events or changing circumstances the Office of Multicultural Affairs will also accept quick response applications for projects up to $2000, however please note these are still required 4-6 weeks prior to the event. All approved funds are provided to or through an incorporated association. Please note that limited funds are available and applications will be judged on merit through a competitive process against other applications.
