Community Engagement

Through its Community Engagement Unit, the Chief Minister’s Department coordinates and supports the development and implementation of whole-of-government social policy and programs. The Unit also works to enhance community participation in Government decision making processes and awareness of Government policies, services and programs.

The Unit provides policy advice in the areas of:

• Multicultural Affairs
• Senior Territorians
• Youth Affairs
• Women’s Policy

The Unit also manages a number of small community grant and award programs for youth, seniors, women and Territorians with diverse cultural backgrounds.

The Unit is headed by Teresa Hart.
