Gary Barnes, Chief Executive
Gary Barnes commenced as the Chief Executive, Department of the Chief Minister in February 2013.
Prior to this Gary was the Chief Executive, Department of Education and Training, since May 2009.
He came to this position from the role Deputy Chief Executive, Queensland Public Service Commission where he led sector-wide reform in the area of Workforce Performance.
Gary has also held a number of senior executive roles in the Queensland Department of Education and Training including Assistant Director-General Strategic Human Resources, Assistant Director-General, Learning, Assistant Director-General, Strategic Policy and Education Futures.
